NRS 278.792. Nevada Tahoe Regional Planning Agency: Creation; composition of governing body. [Effective: (1) until the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) through September 30, 2015, and after that date if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation that satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) by September 30, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan, or effective through September 30, 2017, if those events have not taken place by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future, and effective after September 30, 2017, if those events take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.792. Nevada Tahoe Regional Planning Agency: Creation; composition, appointment and interests of governing body. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; and (2) through September 30, 2015, and after that date if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) by September 30, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan, or effective through September 30, 2017, if those events have not taken place by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future, and effective after September 30, 2017, if those events take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.792. Nevada Tahoe Regional Planning Agency: Creation; composition, appointment and interests of governing body. [Effective October 1, 2015, unless: (1) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (2) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan, or October 1, 2017, if those events have not taken place by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.794. Terms of office of members of governing body. NRS 278.807. Account for the Nevada Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. NRS 278.8111. Regional plan: Adoption and review; contents. NRS 278.8113. Regional plan: Public hearings by planning commission in preparing plan and amendments; action by governing body. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) October 1, 2015, unless: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) October 1, 2017, if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State does not issue a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; and (b) the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.8115. Regional plan: Correlated elements. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) October 1, 2015, unless: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) October 1, 2017, if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State does not issue a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; and (b) the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.8117. Regional plan: Formulation, maintenance, realization and administration. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) October 1, 2015, unless: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) October 1, 2017, if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State does not issue a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; and (b) the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.8119. Maintenance and availability of data, maps and other information; assistance in exchanges of property. Agency’s Powers

NRS 278.812. Review of applications approved by local authorities. [Effective: (1) until the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; (2) through September 30, 2015, and after that date if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) by September 30, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) through September 30, 2017, if the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017, and effective after September 30, 2017, if those events take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.8123. Review and approval of proposals by Agency: Time limitations. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) October 1, 2015, unless: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) October 1, 2017, if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State does not issue a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; and (b) the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.813. Ordinances, rules and regulations; general and regional standards. [Effective: (1) until the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) through September 30, 2015, and after that date if: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (2) by September 30, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) through September 30, 2017, if the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan by July 1, 2015, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017, and effective after September 30, 2017, if those events take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.820. Financial powers and duties of Agency. [Effective: (1) upon the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers; or (2) October 1, 2015, unless: (a) on or before January 1, 2014, the Governor of this State issues a proclamation that the State of California has enacted legislation which satisfies the requirements set forth in section 7 of chapter 424, Statutes of Nevada 2013, at page 2368; or (b) before October 1, 2015, the amendments to the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California enacts amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adopts an update to the 1987 Regional Plan; or (3) October 1, 2017, if, by July 1, 2015, the amendments to the Compact proposed by this State in 2011 are not approved pursuant to Public Law 96-551, the State of California has not enacted amendments that are substantially identical to those amendments and the governing board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has not adopted an update to the 1987 Regional Plan, and the Governor of this State issues a proclamation before October 1, 2015, that those events are likely to take place in the reasonably foreseeable future but those events do not take place by September 30, 2017.]

NRS 278.822. Powers of local authorities subordinate to those of Agency.

NRS 278.824. Limitations on powers of Agency.
