NRS709.180. Power of county commissioners to grant franchises for extension of certain utilities.

- The boards of county commissioners may grant, within their respective counties, to any person, association or corporation engaged in the business of supplying electric light, heat or power in two or more counties of this state, and who desires to extend the business into any other county or counties, the franchise, right and privilege to construct, install, operate and maintain electric light, heat and power lines, and all necessary or proper appliances used in connection therewith, or appurtenant thereto, in or over the streets, alleys, avenues and other places in any unincorporated town, and along the public roads and highways of their respective counties when the applicant complies with the terms and provisions of NRS 709.180 to 709.280, inclusive.
