NRS616A.157. “Employee”: Volunteer members of search and rescue organization.

  •   Volunteer members of a search and rescue organization that is under the direct supervision of a county sheriff, while acting under the direction of the sheriff or a designee of the sheriff:

          1.  In the conduct of any search and rescue operation; or

          2.  In training for such an operation,

    Ê shall be deemed, for the purposes of chapters 616A to 616D, inclusive, of NRS, to be employees of the county at the wage of $2,000 per month, and are entitled to the benefits of those chapters.
