CHAPTER433A. Admission to Mental Health Facilities or Programs of Community-Based or Outpatient Services; Hospitalization |
GENERAL PROVISIONS |
NRS433A.019. “Program of community-based or outpatient services” defined.
- “Program of community-based or outpatient services” means care, treatment and training provided to persons with mental illness, including, without limitation:
1. A program or service for the treatment of abuse of alcohol;
2. A program or service for the treatment of abuse of drugs;
3. A program of general education or vocational training;
4. A program or service that assists in the dispensing or monitoring of medication;
5. A program or service that provides counseling or therapy;
6. A service which provides screening tests to detect the presence of alcohol or drugs;
7. A program of supervised living; or
8. Any combination of programs and services for persons with mental illness.
Ê The term does not include care, treatment and training provided to residents of a mental health facility.
